JULY

Star Spangled 4th of July- Held annually on the 3rd of July

Parade 9:00 am- Line up behind Tillery Chevrolet at 7:30

Parade travels East on Main Street Route 66 in Moriarty  just past the intersection of Route 66 and Highway 41.  Join us for an old fashion town parade.

Baseball teams, Horseback Riding Groups, Classic Cars, Marching Groups, and School Organizations as they participate in the local 4th of July Star Spangled Celebration in Moriarty.

The Moriarty Lions Club holds it’s annual All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast from 7:00am to 12:00am.  Please join them at the Lions Club building, for the Breakfast, and starting at 2:00 pm for Regular Bingo which ends at 4:00 pm.

Entertainment, Arts & Crafts Vendors, Food Vendors, Jumpers, Rock Climbing Wall, and Farmer’s Market are just some of the activities that take place at the Moriarty City Park following the Parade.  Local Bands will provide entertainment also featuring Lance Valliant from 10:00am to 2:00pm and Diamond Back From 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

Rodeo, Heritage Rodeo Arena will be host to the 3th of July Children’s Rodeo which will be held on Saturday, July 3 after the parade and Sunday, July 4 at 9:00 am .

Annual Tri-Chamber Golf Classic

Pinto Bean Fiesta

Every October the question asked all over the State, and in the Estancia Valley, Moriarty area is-  “Are the New Crop of Pinto Beans Ready?”  Known as the Pinto Bean Capital of the World, since 1981 Moriarty has been host to the “Pinto Bean Fiesta”.

Every year people gather to celebrate the new crop of Pinto Beans grown by local farmers.  The Celebration begins with a 10 am Parade on Moriarty’s Main Street Old Route 66,  ending on the East end of Moriarty.  The festivities continue with activities at the Moriarty City Park –under the Water Tower.   Live Entertainment provided by local talent begins at 11:00 am and continues into the afternoon.  Arts & Crafts vendors, Food vendors, Children’s entertainment, old fashioned sack races, jumpers, a rock climbing wall and a Farmer’s Market with the World Famous Sacks of Pinto Beans, Schwebach’s Sweet Corn, and local Honey, Pumpkins and Produce adorn the park.

There will also be a Rodeo held at the Heritage Rodeo Arena, and annual inductions into the Heritage Rodeo Arena.  Join us for a day of fun and entertainment, and don’t forget to pick up a sack of those World Famous Pinto Beans!  For Vendor Information or Event information contact the Moriarty Chamber of Commerce Office @ 505-832-4087

NOVEMBER –DECEMBER

Shop At Home –Festival of Lights

The Moriarty Chamber of Commerce proudly sponsors the Annual Shop At Home Campaign.  With the help of Local Businesses the Holiday Shop at Home Campaign is a 30 day campaign that encourages local residents to shop in the Moriarty, Estancia Valley, East Mountain area.  Shoppers who spend a minimum amount of money at a participating store will be entered into drawings to win valuable prizes, and gift certificates donated by local businesses.

The first Friday in December Moriarty’s Old Route 66 is lighted with Holiday Cheer from one end to the other.  The annual Festival of Lights parade travels from Tillery Chevrolet to Crossley Park.  Local businesses host open houses as they welcome you in from the cool December night, with Refreshments, Entertainment, and Holiday Carolers.  To participate in the parade or to host an Open House, call the Chamber Office at 505-832-4087.

Do your Christmas & Holiday Shopping at the Annual Arts & Crafts Fair.  Held the first Saturday in December.  Pictures with Santa will also be available.  If you are interested in participating as an Arts & Crafts Vendor or Food Vendor, contact the Chamber of Commerce Office at 505-832-4087

FEBRUARY

Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet and Fundraiser.  Join for our Year In Review, Induction of New Officers, and help us Honor our Local Businesses and Community Members, for their outstanding contributions to our Community.   The Chamber Honors Businesses and Individuals in the following categories:

Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, and Citizen of the Year.    Join us for an evening of Dinning and Dancing, for our Silent Action Fundraiser, and after dinner the Chocolate Extravaganza.   If you would like to serve on our committee to review the nominations for the yearly awards, or would like to serve on the Banquet Committee or would like to purchase tickets, please contact the Chamber of Commerce Office at 505-832-4087.

MAY

Annual Pinto Bean Scholarship is given away.  Moriarty High School Students are encouraged to apply for one of five $500.00  The Moriarty Chamber of along with Local  Businesses contribute to the Pinto Bean Scholarship Yearly.  If you would like to apply for next years Scholarship, applications they will be available at the end of March 2010.  Contact the High School Guidance Office or the Chamber of Commerce Office at 505-832-4087

JUNE

Join us as we travel to the Founders Ranch for the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) World Championship End of Trail.  The Moriarty and Edgewood Chambers will be there with information on local attractions, Hotels, Restaurants, area Realtors will also be on hand with information on local Real Estate.  Travel back to yesterday, at Founders Ranch as the Wild West comes alive with Shooters and Visitors dressed in authentic period costumes.  The World Championships of Cowboy Action Shooting and Wild West Jubilee takes place the week of June 21-27 at the SASS Founders Ranch.  There will be hundreds of vendors, live entertainment, and activities throughout the day.  Visit www.sassnet.com for more information.
